We’re Ready For Wildflowers
This winter in Tahoe is truly unlike any other…
With over 500 inches of snowfall so far, this is a record-breaking season for the Basin. And while we know the weather can be a bit overwhelming, it’s also a sign of wonderful things to come.
Every inch of snow helps preserve Tahoe’s natural beauty. Over the past year, Northern Nevada experienced drought conditions, so the recent winter storms are a welcome gift to our lake levels. In fact, the lake has now risen above the natural rim which puts us on track for a gorgeous summer, meaning profuse wildflower blooms.
So hold tight… a spectacular Tahoe hiking season is just around the corner full of Alpine Buttercups, Crimson Columbine, and Western Blue Iris. Yes, thanks to all this precipitation, Tahoe will be a vivid sea of nature’s color throughout the summer months.
