CALDOR FIRE UPDATE 2

These past few weeks have been a trying time for South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Douglas and El Dorado County communities. We truly appreciate all the support and thoughtful notes from so many.

We are happy to share that things are looking up and great progress is being made to reopen the greater community. Evacuations have been lifted for Stateline and surrounding areas, and fire containment is reaching 70%. The majority of our staff that was evacuated, have been able to return to their homes. And The Beach Club has reopened!

PHASE 2 CONSTRUCTION

I am pleased to share that construction resumed last week and is expected to ramp up as the weeks progress.

TRAVEL

While the City of South Lake Tahoe is working towards a full reopening, a portion of Highway 50 remains closed. All Nevada and California State Parks in Tahoe remain closed, in addition to the closure of all National Forests in California. You can read the latest statements and updates from the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority via Tahoe South

FIRE RELIEF

Our hearts and thoughts continue to be with all those affected by the Caldor Fire and our gratitude for our local firefighters, and those from further afar, is immense. If you would like to support fire relief efforts, the El Dorado Community Foundation has set up a Caldor Fire Fund. Donations can be made here. The funds go to community members and businesses directly impacted by the fires.
