Alpenglow preview
The walls at the Beach Club look vibrant with beautiful local art hung in preparation for Tahoe Beach Club’s first annual Alpenglow. A full day of live music, food trucks, and art auctions, Alpenglow is fun geared towards all ages for an unforgettable day at the beach.
Friday evening, the Beach Club hosts a cocktail hour with an artist meet and greet. Members and their guests have the opportunity to chat with the creators of the stunning artwork currently displayed at the club. A more intimate event than the festival, this art preview is a great way to connect with not only artists from our community, but other members and their friends.
On Saturday, the festival begins with a DJ on the beach, a live painting demonstration from Talia Koval, and a jump house along with face painting for kids. In addition, Crepes and Crafts food truck, Great Basin Brewery, and TIF Spiked Lemonade are serving food and cold drinks all day long. Later in the afternoon, Left of Centre, a country rock band, plays live music as the silent art auction takes place.
The Alpenglow Festival benefits Clean Up the Lake, a non-profit organization focusing on scuba dives, beach clean ups, and waste reduction strategies in Lake Tahoe and beyond. A percentage of ticket sales and auction profits go towards this local organization, as well as all proceeds from our “Raise the Paddle” event taking place Saturday evening.
