LAKE TAHOE’S NEWEST BEACH CLUB
Helmed by renowned architect John Sather of SWABACK Partners, the design of the Beach Club was inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding area, incorporating dark shades of earth-tone colors to the building’s exterior as well as local granite stone—a nod to the colors of the region’s mountain landscape.
The interior of the Beach Club is a juxtaposition between summer and winter, speaking to the variety of outdoor pursuits guests can enjoy year-round, from skiing and snowboarding, to biking, hiking and more.
Fostering community was an important aspect to spotlight within the design as well, and in doing so, Sather created a residential style estate combining fabrics and furniture with local art into various areas of the Beach Club to appeal to Tahoe Beach Club’s multi-generational audience. The expansive views of Lake Tahoe are the pièce-de-résistance of the experience, where floor to ceiling, 12-foot-wide multi-slide doors frame the Beach Club’s signature restaurant.
The Beach Club anchors the lakefront community and overlooks uninterrupted views of Tahoe’s pristine blue waters. Inside, members can enjoy luxury concierge service; a gourmet grab & go market; private conference center; fitness center featuring a heated yoga pavilion and Pilates studio; a dedicated Kids’ Zone that includes a movie theater, art studio and gaming area; year-round signature restaurant with in-residence dining offered along with a full-service day spa offering Tata Harper beauty products.
Once outside, residents and members are invited to enjoy a four-season heated pool, spa and heated pool deck situated above a private sand beach adorned with cabanas, lounge chairs and fire pits that lead to the club’s 160-foot floating pier. On the pier, members are invited to use the Beach Club’s stand-up paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, WaveRunners and beach games or participate in member-only guided programs and organized events. At Tahoe Beach Club, the Beach Club is the heart of this private residential community and is a gathering place where lifelong memories are made.
John Sather’s previous projects include Martis Camp in Truckee, The Shed Clubhouse in Park City, and Kukui’ula on Kauai.
