Saving Tahoe’s Yellow Cress
Tahoe Beach Club’s sustainability commitment isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a way of life. That’s why we’re proud to announce our collaboration with the Nevada Division of Forestry to protect and restore one of Lake Tahoe’s rarest gems: the endangered Tahoe Yellow Cress.
This delicate plant, which grows exclusively along the sandy shores of Lake Tahoe, has made itself right at home on our property. And now, thanks to the expertise of the Nevada Division of Forestry’s Protected Plant Specialists, seeds from these thriving plants have been carefully collected to help revitalize Yellow Cress populations around the lake.
The Tahoe Yellow Cress is more than a pretty bloom—it’s a symbol of the lake’s unique and delicate ecosystem. By safeguarding its future, we’re contributing to the biodiversity that keeps Lake Tahoe one of the most breathtaking places in the world.
We’re incredibly proud to be part of this important restoration effort, which builds on our longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship. From our partnership with ECO-CLEAN Solutions to our work with Clean Up the Lake, caring for this extraordinary landscape is at the heart of our commitment.
Together, we’re not just protecting a plant; we’re preserving the beauty of Lake Tahoe for generations to come. And we couldn’t be prouder to share this journey with our Members, partners, and the wider Tahoe community.
