Tahoe Beach Club’s Floating Pier

Why a floating pier is ideal for recreation on Lake Tahoe…

While low water levels are nothing to be excited about, you don’t have to let it ruin your day on the water or at the Beach Club. At Tahoe Beach Club, we have a floating pier, one of only a handful on all of Lake Tahoe (You’ll also find one at the Hyatt on North shore – where you can enjoy cocktails and bites right on the water at the Hyatt’s Pier 111 Bar!)  

The significance of a floating pier is apparent this summer boating season. Lake Tahoe is experiencing its lowest water levels since 2017, which marked historic low levels for the lake. Take a look at the current lake level here.

Sand Harbor boat launch is closed on July 18th for the season due to the low water levels. Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista public launches have already closed. The El Dorado boat launch was not able to open this summer. 

While Tahoe Beach Club does not have a boat launch, our floating pier allows you to bring your boat in and dock it for a few hours. Our members & residents have the luxury of enjoying time on the lake, then docking for a few hours to have lunch on our terrace (with the best view of Lake Tahoe and mountain vistas) and then hop back on the boat to catch some sunset laps before ending the day. A floating pier will allow this to happen even in the event of a drought season.  So despite low levels, you won’t have to worry about our pier closing. You will be able to boat in and out all season long.
