Got the Hibernation Blues?
Do you have the hibernation blues? We know...we know it’s March, and the snow is still coming down. With that in mind, we suggest heading to the Beach Club, hopping on a treadmill overlooking gorgeous Big Blue, and clocking in a few laps. Dr. James McDeavitt, a professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine, states, “With seasonal affective disorder, it is desirable to continue to exercise or maybe even increase your exercise.” But if the treadmill isn’t your thing, the fitness center has a bunch of other options.
In fact, a new fitness schedule is out, which includes spin, pilates, yoga, barre, and yes, meditation. Plus, there’s always the certified personal trainer routine. All you have to do is reach out to Spa and Fitness, and they’ll coordinate sessions.
The perk…improved mood, weight loss, and strength for summer hikes. So run, walk, and stretch over to the Fitness Center. It’s another reason why Everything is Right at the Beach.
