Fallen leaf lake
From your TBC Sales Team | Check the blog each Thursday for Shayla and Camden’s favorite local spots– from hikes to restaurants and more.
Just 8 miles from Tahoe Beach Club sits Fallen Leaf, a quaint alpine lake tucked away from the usual excitement of South Lake Tahoe. Fallen Leaf is a serene getaway - home to a charming beach and campground, beautiful cabin homes, and a 3.5-mile trail with unbeatable views.
Fallen Leaf trail just so happens to be Camden’s favorite hiking spot, as it meanders through some of Tahoe’s most stunning forestland. Plus, if you’re looking to relax, the lake is a perfect spot to post up and read a good book or take a walk with friends.
Recently, Shayla and Camden decided to hike Fallen Leaf trail and take in the beautiful late-October weather. Brilliant yellow aspens shaded their path, and made for a gorgeous stroll. Even Shayla’s dog Ellie had the time of her life swimming in the crystal-clear water.
If you have a free afternoon, we highly recommend a visit. There’s no better place to experience Tahoe’s vibrant fall colors and picturesque mountain charm. But if you can’t make it out this season, Fallen Leaf trail is open (and absolutely beautiful) for the majority of the year.
