An Unforgettable Weekend at Tahoe Beach Club: Helen Mirren, Taylor Hackford, and a Spooktacular Halloween Bash!

Wow, what a weekend! Summer might be Tahoe Beach Club’s high season; however, our spectacular Member events run year-round. From sommelier-guided wine tastings to kids’ movie nights, we have it all at Tahoe Beach Club.

In fact, Friday was one for the books! Tahoe Beach Club hosted an intimate evening with the incredible Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford. You read that right: the one and only Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford! As Members savored a French-inspired meal, the dynamic power couple, both Academy Award recipients, delighted Members with an after-dinner Q&A. Ms. Mirren shared entertaining tales from her career, including some fascinating insights about her preparation for The Queen. Mr. Hackford explained that she spent weeks and weeks studying Queen Elizabeth’s childhood. When he asked her why, she responded, “I wanted viewers to see in my eyes the young girl behind the queen.” Yes, she provided wonderful tidbits and surprise, surprise, entertained Members with her wit.

Then, 24 hours later, the Clubhouse transformed into a Halloween festival complete with eerie-themed finger food, a costume and pumpkin contest; plus, Halloween-inspired trivia (Which became quite lively with lots of competitive laughter.) Our General Manager, Kevin Speer, even got in on the fun by hosting a ‘Hallowine’ Spooky Wine Tasting. From Members and staff to young and old, everyone had waaayyyy too much fun.

So, as the leaves fall and the weather cools, head over to Tahoe Beach Club because you never know what new events are brewing!
